 Find Dadiyata, Nigeria's Missing Voice for Justice


For an agonizing period, the family and friends of Abubakar Idris Dadiyata, a prominent Nigerian critic of government injustices, have been left in the dark about his whereabouts. His disappearance serves as a stark reminder of the perils faced by those who dare to speak truth to power.


Dadiyata's Kidnapping: A Blow to Freedom of Speech


On August 2, 2019, Dadiyata was abducted from his residence in Kaduna, Nigeria. His kidnapping sent shockwaves throughout the nation, silencing many voices of dissent. As a vocal advocate for human rights and good governance, Dadiyata's critiques of government policies and actions were well-known.


The Nigerian government's inaction in investigating his disappearance has only fueled concerns about its commitment to protecting freedom of speech and human rights.


A Call to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Nigerian Authorities


We urge President Tinubu and the Nigerian government to:


1. Conduct an immediate and thorough investigation into Dadiyata's disappearance.

2. Disclose his whereabouts and ensure his safe release.

3. Protect freedom of speech and safeguard the rights of critics and activists.


The world watches as Nigeria's democracy is tested. We demand justice for Dadiyata and all those who have suffered similar fates.






Together, we can ensure that Dadiyata's voice is not silenced forever.
